The Blue Ridge Institute for Theological Education is headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia and aims to serve the church in the wider region of Southwestern Virginia and Eastern Tennessee, roughly following the Interstate 81 Corridor and the Blue Ridge Mountain-line.

The Roanoke, New River, and Shenandoah Valley regions have grown by leaps and bounds over the past 15 years. Today this area is home to an estimated 300,000 people. The Institute uses the facilities of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Roanoke in order to house its administrative offices; however classes, seminars, and conferences are held in a variety of churches and meeting spaces throughout the region, including Radford, Lynchburg, and Charlottesville in Virginia; and Knoxville/Oak Ridge and Bristol/Kingsport in Tennessee.

With easy access through Interstate 81, US 220, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, traveling to the region via car is a comfortable drive.
